Turning 65 or newly eligible for Medicare?

IBM is offering a choice of two Group Medicare Advantage plan options, exclusively designed for IBM retiree benefits participants eligible for Medicare and administered by UnitedHealthcare.

There are two options under the IBM retiree medical plan – the Enhanced Plan and the Essential Plan. Keep in mind that the IBM subsidy is only available when you enroll in one of the UnitedHealthcare plan options.

Important note: You must enroll in one of the IBM-sponsored plans within 3 months after your Medicare Part B becomes effective or you will need to wait until the following open enrollment period to enroll.

To learn more or to enroll in one of the IBM-sponsored plan options call 1-877-852-0641, TTY 711.

If you’re currently already enrolled in a Medicare Supplement plan and decide to enroll in one of the IBM retiree medical plan options, please note that you will need to contact your current carrier to disenroll from that plan once you receive confirmation of your new enrollment.
